Retired NFL star defensive player Chris Spielman and manufacturer CBD Health Collection have partnered on a new CBD product line bearing the name of the former Ohio State All-American and NFL Pro-Bowler, simply called Spielman CBD.

The products, which debuted earlier in the summer, are targeted for the weekend warrior and former athletes like Spielman who are experiencing sport related residual pain. The Spielman line includes pain-relief topicals, CBD oils, ingestible soft gels, hand & body lotion, sunblock and even pet CBD products.

Spielman, 54, currently an analyst for NFL Fox, collaborated with CBD Health Collection for the partnership after he discovered the benefits of CBD oils.

“I was introduced to the product through my colleagues at Fox Sports after I complained of nagging pain from injuries experienced in my NFL career,” said the Massillon, Ohio, native, a former linebacker who played for the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns. “I investigated Ohio-based companies, tried the products of CBD Health Collection and was impressed with their experience and business model.”

Ohio-owned CBD Health Collection is a distributor and contract manufacturer of CBD products. Based in New Albany, Ohio, Rick Bauer, a 30-year veteran of the pharmaceutical industry, founded the company in 2017, two years prior to CBD’s legalization in Ohio. To join him at the business, Bauer recruited his daughter, Ashley Bauer, Ohio State Female Athlete of the Year in 2015, to assist in marketing and his son, Jon, a veteran of CBD extraction and processing.

“We sought out Mr. Spielman as he represents the same integrity we wish to bring to our product line,” said Rick Bauer.

The products are available online and in stores. The company is growing its in-store distribution network with major retail outlets. CBD Health Collection also distributes its product line through health care professionals.
