Ohio-based CBD-infused products distributor and scheduled manufacturer CBD Health Collection celebrated earlier this month with the opening of its first brick-and-mortar retail location, where the company is headquartered in Granville, about 30 miles east of Columbus.
The Sept. 3, grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony featured special guests former NFL star Chris Spielman, bodybuilder Steve Slater and one-armed competitive mountain biker Charles “Scott” McDonald.
Spielman, former Ohio State All-American and Pro-Bowler with the Detroit Lions, partnered with CBD Health Collection earlier this year on a line of CBD products for active athletes and “weekend warrior” types. Spielman, currently an analyst for NFL Fox, agreed to the partnership with CBD Health Collection after he discovered the benefits of CBD oils.
“I was introduced to the product thru my colleagues at FOX Sports after I complained of nagging pain from injuries experienced in my NFL career,” Spielman said.
Slater is a world-renowned body builder and creator of Slater Atlas Stone Molds, used in the Arnold Sports Festival, America’s Strongest Man and the World’s Strongest Man competition. Slater is the co-director of the Arnold Strongman Classic and a spokesperson for the CBD Health Collection line of products.
“Years of competing in the sport of strongman has left me with some aches and pains,” Slater said. “This product is a daily go-to helping to ease the pain. I love it and find it especially useful after workouts to help fight inflammation and soreness.”
McDonald, is a member of the Paralyzed Veterans Racing Team, 2019 Adaptive Mountain Bike World Champion and MTB skills coach for the Sundance Mountain Bike Clinic. He has been racing mountain bikes and training for two decades.
McDonald said he has found tremendous results using products from CBD Health Collection. “I use the Full Spectrum CBD Oil pre-race and have had some of the best results I have had in years,” McDonald said. “Post-race, I love the soothing power of the Freeze Gel.”
McDonald Scott is a strong believer in CBD Health Collection products, touting their effectiveness in eliminating his aches and pains from heavy training and injuries.
CBD Health Collection is familiar with both the pain relief and CBD industries, as well as the pain-related challenges of athletes. The company founder, Rick Bauer, is a 30-year veteran of the pharmaceutical industry. To help with marketing, Bauer recruited to the business his daughter, Ashley Marienau, the 2015 Ohio State Female Athlete of the Year as well as three-time NCAA National Champion and member of the US National Rowing Team. Also on board is Bauer’s son, Jon, a veteran of CBD extraction and processing industry.
The inaugural retail store is located at 136 North Prospect St., Granville, Ohio.
