Hemp is scientifically known to have anti-bacterial and anti-microbial features and hemp advocate and product maker Responsibly Organic sees it as the perfect partner to healthy produce – and for a limited time, the company is offering free samples to prove it.
The deterioration seen in produce over time, like discoloration, loss of flavor, mold and loss of vitamin effectiveness, is caused by bacteria. That’s why Responsibly Organic has launched Ever Fruit Freshness Packs, made with 100% USA grown hemp and used to extend the edible life of fruits and veggies for up to a week or more.
When placed with a household’s fresh fruits and vegetables – in a refrigerator produce drawer or countertop fruit bowl – the Ever Fruit Freshness Packs’ will keep the produce fresher longer.
Each freshness pack lasts three months and retails for $0.99.
Responsibly Organic wants to raise awareness of the growing uses of hemp in everyday ways around the household. For a short time they will ship these freshness packs throughout the U.S. to consumers and retailers who request samples at either of their websites, www.ResponsiblyOrganic.com or www.Ever-Fruit.com.
Eric Dena, the founder of Responsibly Organic, said the company is 100% dedicated to sustainability.
“After researching the assorted opportunities hemp is as a renewable resource, we realized it is an untapped resource for renewable product with unbelievable options,” Dena said. “We decided that our company will promote the greenness of hemp on a national scale.”
Dena explained that Responsibly Organic’s biggest obstacle is trying to get people comfortable to hemp the same way they’ve warmed to CBD. “Believe it or not people still think hemp has psychoactive effects like cannabis,” noted Dena.
Since its founding in 2010, Responsibly Organic has been carving out its place in the hemp industry. Dena has recently started discussions with several national chains regarding carrying the Ever Fruit Freshness Pack.
The company said it has procured more than 150,000 pounds of hemp stalk and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has been developing, testing, and manufacturing hemp to find ways to make it useful for everyday consumers.
Some of its everyday use hemp products include hemp fire logs, barbecue smoker pellets, cat litter and an equine food supplement.
