In preparation of establishing a national retail presence and expanded manufacturing capability, California-based Green Cures & Botanical Distribution has leased a new facility to serve both functions for its branded Green Cures products. Green Cures is a manufacturer, wholesaler and distributor of hemp- and CBD-infused nutritional, sports, alcoholic spirits and body care products.
The company, currently based outside of Los Angeles in Woodland Hills, Calif., finalized an agreement to rent the facility located 160 miles further north along the Pacific Coast, in the sprawling downtown of San Luis Obispo. The downtown area has many bustling boutiques and stores that attract a diverse base of locals, tourists, visitors and students.
Green Cures will build out the facility’s retail end, which will serve as the prototype location and retail operational headquarters for a national roll-out strategy. The company is also obtaining the appropriate licenses for the production of high-end CBD/Hemp beauty, food and beverage products.
The company’s brands include Green Cures Spirits, Green Cures Health & Beauty and Green Cures Hand Sanitizer. In August, it also added cannabis lifestyle brand Clearly California as a subsidiary.
“This is a monumental event for Green Cures,” said Chief Executive Officer Rich Thomas, “which will evolve from a company with a few online CBD products to both a brick and mortar retail company with best in class products available for customers, but also a true manufacturing center for our extensive line of hand crafted sanitizers, along with health and beauty products.”
What makes the location unique, Thomas added, is that the manufacturing facility will be open to the public to observe what he said are the highest of standards employed in producing Green Cures’ unique and innovative CBD products.
The company is in the process of hiring a master formulator and product development team specializing in CBD/Hemp products to expand its product line with many new products that are currently under development.
“By opening this location in (San Luis Obispo) we will not need to rely on other manufacturers for product development and manufacturing, giving us the ultimate control of our brand and products,” Thomas said. “We will maximize our profit margins and eliminate middle layers of distributions, and sell direct to the customer, which we’re very excited about.”
Currently, Green Cures’ retail operation is mainly web-based sales entity, focusing on online sales. That will change with the initiation of the new location. Green Cures & Botanical Distribution operates a diverse portfolio of products and services within the botanical and cannabis industries, from concept to production and distribution of products that promote a healthy lifestyle.
