Diversified life sciences company Tauriga Sciences’ Tauri-Gum product line this week received approval from the state of Alaska to do business in that state after being granted a Product Endorsement Approval Notice from the Alaska Division of Agriculture (Industrial Hemp Program).
Tauriga manufactures and distributes several proprietary retail products and product lines, mainly focused on the cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabigerol (CBG) edibles market segment. It already sells its Tauri-Gum across several states through a variety of retail outlets, including Walmart, Giant, QuickChek, Circle K and others.
The main Tauri-Gum lineup is made up of a proprietary supplement chewing gum that is kosher certified, halal certified and vegan formulated. The flavor and cannabinoid profiles include CBD Infused Tauri-Gum flavors mint, blood orange and pomegranate; CBG Infused Tauri-Gum flavors peach-lemon and black currant; DELTA 8 THC Infused Tauri-Gum flavor evergreen mint; Vitamin C + Zinc Infused Tauri-Gum flavor pear bellini; Caffeine Infused Tauri-Gum flavor cherry lime rickey; and Vitamin D3 Infused Tauri-Gum flavor golden raspberry.
The company’s commercialization strategy consists of a broad array of retail customers, distributors, and a fast-growing e-commerce business segment.
In addition to its retail sales, Tauriga also has an ongoing Pharmaceutical Development initiative, which is developing a proposed pharmaceutical grade version of Tauri-Gum for nausea regulation, specifically designed for chemotherapy patients.
Tauriga is headquartered in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., in the state’s Hudson Valley region and operates full-time e-commerce fulfillment centers in Montgomery, Texas, and Brooklyn, N.Y.
